FST Privacy Policy

Version: 2026-08-27 · Effective date: August 27, 2026

This policy explains how Gu Zhentao (individual developer), referred to as “we”, processes and protects your personal information when providing FST in mainland China. Contact email: gantzx@icloud.com.

1. Information We Process

2. Purposes and Methods of Processing

We process information only to connect your Tesla account, identify authorized vehicles, obtain local weather, calculate target temperatures, perform climate control you enable, provide history and subscription services, and secure accounts and systems. Processing includes collection, encrypted storage, queries, computation, transmission and scheduled deletion.

3. Separate Consent for Location and Motion

Vehicle location, phone location, phone motion and any resulting movement history are sensitive personal information. Only after separate consent does FST use vehicle location for weather, and phone-to-vehicle distance and automotive motion to identify the current driver, avoiding learning or changing another person's climate habits. Approach-based preconditioning is off by default. Only after you enable it in vehicle settings and grant background location permission does FST check whether your phone is continuously approaching a stationary, unoccupied vehicle and start climate after confirmation. Climate turns off after 10 minutes if nobody enters. The server never stores raw phone coordinates; it briefly retains distance, sample counts, approach trends and trigger state. These are not disclosed to other users or used for advertising. Disable the feature or withdraw consent in Profile → Privacy and Data at any time. FST immediately stops the feature and subsequent location and motion processing when consent is withdrawn.

4. Third Parties and Entrusted Processing

We send authorization and vehicle control requests to Tesla's China API. When weather is enabled, QWeather receives approximate coordinates needed for the query. Tencent Cloud servers in mainland China host FST data. Apple handles subscriptions. See the names, information types and purposes in the third-party list. We do not sell personal information.

5. Retention Periods

6. Security

Sensitive identity data, vehicle identifiers and Tesla credentials are encrypted at rest. FST session tokens are protected by hashing or the system keychain. Transmission uses HTTPS. Access controls, log auditing and encrypted backups protect the service. No measure guarantees absolute security. We respond to and notify you of incidents that may harm your rights as required by law.

7. Your Rights

In the app, view and export personal data, correct information, withdraw location consent, disconnect Tesla and delete your account. You may also email gantzx@icloud.com to request access, copying, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or to complain. We verify your identity and handle requests as required by law.

8. Minors

FST is intended for adults authorized to use a Tesla account and vehicle. We do not actively provide service to children under 14. If you discover processing of a minor's information without guardian consent, contact us for deletion.

9. Cross-Border Processing

FST's core servers and Tesla China API are in mainland China. Apple may process subscriptions and App Store services under its own rules. If we later need to transfer personal information outside mainland China, we will separately inform you, obtain separate consent and complete the required procedures under applicable law.

10. Updates

If processing purposes, methods or information categories change materially, we will provide a prominent notice and obtain consent again where required by law.
